AT&T will launch its new High Speed Uplink Packet Access (HSUPA) network for 3G mobile cell phones in late June.
It is speculated that the Apple iPhone will be announced on June 9 during Apple's keynote address at WWDC.

AT&T has announced that it plans to deliver its US 3G mobile broadband service by the end of June when it also expects to launch its new rumored 3G Apple iPhone. The new phone is expected to launch in both the US and European markets.
It is highly spectulated that Apple will announce the new iPhone mobile cell phone device at its WWDC keynote on June 9.
The 3G network will deliver 1.4 Mbps download and 800 Kbps upload speeds which give reason to add more 3G-enabled smartphones in the summer and fall of 2008.
The network currently covers more than 275 markets, and is expected to reach nearly 350 markets by year's end.
The company said that between 2005 and 2008, it will have invested more than $20 billion in network improvements and upgrades.
AT&T's timing doesn't seem to be a coincidence, as it appears to coincide with the widely-expected launch of Apple's rumored 3G iPhone.
The company will be the only US carrier to have fully deployed HSUPA on its 3G network, making it the largest of its kind in the US.
